The twins Castor and Pollux stand in front of a honeysuckle bush at the base of a hill and perhaps the beginning of a forest. On the left, Castor holds a harp and behind him is an ash tree. On the right, Pollux holds a bow and arrows and behind him is a large fortress on a hill. The fortress is the symbol Simeon, one of the lost tribes of Israel. Overhead is the their constellation and at their feet lay carnations, the Greco-Roman "flowers of the Gods." Their belts contain the agate birthstones, and Gemini is an Earth sign.
